AVL recently completed a design/build project for 20+ mobile power modules. Each fully insulated module consisted of 1250kW tier 4 gensets with dual custom 900 gallon diesel fuel tanks. The mobile units will be employed to provide emergency/backup power for a US retail chain.
AVL recently integrated and commissioned a UL9540 rated BESS at a refrigeration facility. The BESS is a 0.7 MW/1.4 MWh system connected behind the facility meter, designed to provide 0.7 MW of power, on-demand, to cover part of the facility load. Commissioning has started on our customers 2x 2MW walk in “peak shaving” systems. The project presented some unique design challenges as the overall footprint available to AVL was limited. The radiator, SCR and silencer were all required to be mounted on the roof.
The disassembly begins on our customer's custom enclosures. The three 2.5MW CAT 3520's will be part of a fleet to provide critical backup power for a data center in Quebec.
